Government Accountability and Responsiveness during COVID-19

Combining innovation, technology and citizen engagement to ensure COVID-19-related spending, stimulus, and safety net measures benefit those most in need

Open Government Partnership

Open Government Partnership is an organization of reformers inside and outside of government, working to transform how government serves its citizens. In 2011, government leaders and civil society advocates came together to create a unique partnership—one that combines these powerful forces to promote accountable, responsive and inclusive governance. Seventy-eight countries and a growing number of local governments—representing more than two billion people—along with thousands of civil society organizations are members of the Open Government Partnership (OGP). The Partnership is made up of people from government, civil society, business, non-profits, and more. They are supported by OGP staff and IRM researchers and a Steering Committee and Board of Directors provide oversight.

Open Response + Open Recovery is a campaign led by OGP that encourages reformers around the world to keep the open government values of transparency, accountability, participation and inclusion at the forefront as we move through COVID-19 response and recovery and a longer-term reimagining of how governments serve their citizens.
