How can  we use earth observation data to monitor the economic activities in select countries in Asia?

EARTH OBSERVATION DATA CHALLENGE | Pitch Event

The Final event of the Earth Observation Data Challenge took place on September 8, 2020 and was done online.
Each of the 4 finalist teams pitched their solution for 15min, followed by a 15min Q&A by the ADB and European Space Agency (ESA) Jury members.
The team received a seed funding of USD 10,000 or more to pilot their selected solution in ADB’s developing member countries.

We will build a training dataset and a model (train,execute&validate) to calculate the tourism index in south Asia. The data we will process can also build indexes for trade and transport.

Lockdowns could disrupt the labor intensive crop harvest period, the beginning of the important food supply chain. We monitor harvest based on radar satellite data that is able to permeate the clouds.
