CHALLENGE OVERVIEW
Utilizing on the Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology, INTRACO looks for solutions that “capture carbon emissions in the air”, while keeping the operating and maintenance costs at $100/ton CO2 captured.
The Earth is already about 1.1°C warmer than it was in the late 1800s, and emissions continue to rise. According to the Paris Agreement, to keep the Earth's temperature at no more than 1.5°C, emissions need to be reduced by 45% by 2030 and to zero by 2050.
According to a report from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), reducing carbon emissions is not enough, the world needs to develop technologies that remove carbon from the atmosphere to achieve net zero emissions (Net-Zero) in 2050.
How can we reduce CO2 level in the air in an efficient manner to support the Vietnamese government's Net-Zero 2050 program?
