Technology Innovation Challenge

Calling on technology providers with a proven solution: up to $450,000 to pilot it across Asia and the Pacific.

Technology Innovation Challenge

Big development challenges need bold solutions. The Asian Development Bank's Technology Innovation Challenge (TIC) is back, and we're looking for the innovators ready to step up.

TIC funds proof-of-concept projects that put innovative technologies to the test in real communities across Asia and the Pacific. Not in a lab. Not in a slide deck. In the field, where it counts. The goal is simple: generate the evidence that governments and technology providers need to make confident decisions about scaling innovative solutions across the region.

We're opening challenges across various topics - which may include energy transition, agricultural efficiency, digital services, urban infrastructure, and social causes such as healthcare and education - and we want to hear from technology providers who have a technology solution that works and are ready to test it in a new market.

What's on the table:

Up to $450,000 in grant funding to test your solution in a new market, generate evidence of its viability, and share your results with governments and investors across Asia and the Pacific.

What we're looking for:

A technology solution that's ready, a team that's committed, a genuine drive to expand into new markets and build local partnerships, and a minimum 10% co-financing contribution to the project.

 Is TIC right for you?
