 THE SELECTION CRITERIA

Proposals may or may not cover all the areas of interest above, or all the aspects within an area of interest. The Jury may evaluate and select the wining submission based on the following criteria:

  • Operational feasibility and scalability
  • The accuracy of the alternative data sources to be used to bridge the data gap such as integrating photos and documents and signature features, as needed
  • The extent to which the proposed approach allows to assess past and present impacts (like a time series to assess pre and post project impact)
  • Whether the suggested approach and data and can be implemented across several ADB member countries. If the proposal demonstrates the use of the approach in several countries, that is a plus
  • The ability to apply the approach in data-sparse countries as well as in data-rich countries will be considered an asset along with the easy usability and adaptable for translation
  • The ease and cost of implementing and maintaining the proposed approach. Approaches that are easier and less costly to implement and maintain, and which are more transparent and user-friendly are preferred
  • Easy usability and adaptability for translation features which will allow users to translate to local language
