CAREC University Startup Generator 2024
CAREC University Startup Generator 2024 is calling all full-time university students from CAREC member countries to be part of CAREC region startup revolution! Join us to develop practical, entrepreneurial and soft skills while creating innovative solutions to tackle real-world social and corporate issues in the region. The event is supported by the Asian Development Bank and Republic of Korea e-Asia and Knowledge Partnership Fund.
Introduction
The CAREC University Startup Generator 2024 (USG2024) is an open innovation challenge aimed at developing practical entrepreneurial and soft skills among university students in the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) regions. With the slogan "Empowering Tomorrow's Innovators", USG2024 equips participants with the knowledge and tools needed to address local challenges through innovative solutions. This initiative is supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Republic of Korea e-Asia and Knowledge Partnership Fund (EAKPF).

Competition Process
- Registration: Form a team of 3-4 members and register to the USG2024
- Training: Complete online training and given tasks in 6 weeks according to the Timeline
- Solutions Development: Develop innovative solution step-by-step and prepare a pitch deck
- National Finals: Selected teams will pitch their solution to jury panel at national level
- Regional Finals: One team per country will compete at the regional level to jury panel
- Announcement: Announcing the winners and awarding
Awards
- 1st prize (1 team): Study tour*, certificate, announcement on CAREC website and at key CAREC events
- 2nd prize (1 team): Study tour*, certificate, announcement on CAREC website
- 3rd prize (1 team): Certificate, announcement on CAREC website
- National Champions (1 team per country): Certificate, announcement by Country Partner
- National Semifinalists (5-10 teams per country): Certificate
- Achievers (teams who complete the program on time and submitted a good quality pitch deck): Certificate
*Note: The top 2 teams will be invited to attend an international study tour on innovation and entrepreneurship in one of the ADB member countries. Details to be finalized.
