Building Climate Resilience for Communities in Mongolia

Calling all Mongolian Civil Society Organizations: We invite you to identify development challenges and propose innovative solutions to strengthen the climate resilience of vulnerable communities across Mongolia.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The projects will be assessed following the criteria below:

  • Potential Impact on Enhancing Climate Resilience (20%) - The extent to which the proposed solution can significantly improve the climate resilience of targeted communities, particularly the most vulnerable populations.

  • Clear Identification of an Issue that Mongolia Faces (15%) - The proposal must clearly identify and articulate a specific climate-related challenge in Mongolia, demonstrating a deep understanding of the local context and its impacts on the community.


 
  • Innovation and Creativity in the Proposed Approach (20%)- The originality and ingenuity of the proposed solution in addressing climate resilience issues, offering novel methods or technologies.

  • Feasibility and Sustainability of the Proposed Solution (20%)- The practicality and long-term viability of the solution, including considerations for resource availability, technical requirements, and potential obstacles.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Community Ownership (10%)- The level of involvement and commitment from local stakeholders, ensuring that the community is actively engaged in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the solution.

  • Potential for Replication or Scaling Up (10%)- The ability of the solution to be adapted and implemented in other regions or communities within Mongolia, enhancing its overall impact.

 
 
  • Cross-Sectoral Collaboration and Knowledge-Sharing Opportunities (5%)- The potential for the proposed solution to foster partnerships across different sectors and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices among stakeholders.
