Data Storytelling and Visualization Challenge
CHALLENGE OVERVIEW
As the Asian Development Bank (ADB) joins the celebration of the World Statistics Day 2020, we invite entries to the Data Storytelling and Visualization Challenge.
The challenge is to use one’s creativity and imagination to help answer a question relevant to development policy by writing a data story or building a data visualization featuring data from the Key Indicators for Asia and the Pacific.
Below are sample questions:
Show the development trajectory of Asia and the Pacific with respect to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other development themes.
Find interlinkages, synergies, and trade-offs between different development trends as depicted by indicators featured in the Key Indicators for Asia and the Pacific.
You can come up with your own questions to put your analytical, data storytelling, and visualization skills to the test!
DEADLINE
The deadline for submission of entries is on 20 December 2020. A selection of the best data stories and visualizations may be showcased on the future editions of Key Indicators for Asia and the Pacific and/or other dissemination platforms!
