ADB Sandbox Opportunity: Increasing Financial Literacy Through AR/VR Digital Solutions

Submit your solution to increase remotely located Filipino farmers and fisherfolks' financial and digital literacy and boost their capability to make better financial decisions by utilizing Virtual and Augmented Reality training methods.

Digital Delivery of Financial Literacy for Filipino Farmers & Fisherfolk

The Challenge

Financial and digital literacy among the rural farmer and fisherfolk population across the Philippines has remained low due to difficulties offering practical training in remote locations. The challenge is to measure the current level and knowledge retention of offered financial and digital literacy training.

This lack of understanding, trust, and knowledge retention increases the farmer’s and fisherfolk’s vulnerability as consumers and decreases the benefits of financial services available to the target group.

ADB wants to hear your company’s proposed solution on how Virtual and Augmented Reality (AR/VR) technologies could be used as a financial services training delivery method to help increase knowledge retention among farmers and fisherfolk target groups.
